My current studio work represents my interest in such contemporary landscape phenomena as generic industrial complexes, housing developments, suburban and corporate sprawl and the associated feelings of dislocation and anxiety that often accompany them.
Assuming a ubiquitous presence in our landscape, these places simultaneously offer the dream of a bright, efficient and industrialized future yet seem to deliver an impersonal and standardized way of life. It is this dichotomy of utopia/ dystopia that informs and inspires the aesthetic and conceptual underpinnings of my work.
